Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Training
The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule was implemented in 2015. Connecticut farmers need information and training to comply with the rule and/or to adopt safe produce growing, harvesting, and handling practices in order remain competitive in this new regulatory environment. This program provides information sessions to all Connecticut produce farmers; required training for all farmers who will not be exempt from the rule; and additional training and information via webinars for farmers who will be exempted from the full rule.
To provide information sessions to produce farmers in Connecticut, to offer training in order to expand the knowledge of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
