Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Training

Program Goal: The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule was implemented in 2015. Connecticut farmers need information and training to comply with the rule and/or to adopt safe produce growing, harvesting, and handling practices in order remain competitive in this new regulatory environment. This program provides information sessions to all Connecticut produce farmers; required training for all farmers who will not be exempt from the rule; and additional training and information via webinars for farmers who will be exempted from the full rule.

Learning Objective: To provide information sessions to produce farmers in Connecticut, to offer training in order to expand the knowledge of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
