Hartford County 4-H Camp

Program Goal: Hartford County 4-H Camp is a non-profit organization that provides a fun, safe, healthy and enriching outdoor experience for young people with a "Learning by Doing" philosophy. The camp is adjacent to the Black Ledge River State Forest, giving campers many trails for hiking, nature observation and trail riding. A one-acre pond provides for swimming, boating and water recreation. A tennis/basketball court combo, a vollyball court, a gaga pit and a baseball/soccer field are for instructional and leisure time usgae, as well as a 16 station Low Ropes Course.

Learning Objective: Through 4-H principles, we endeavor to foster personal growth in an atmosphere of stewardship for the individual, the community, and the Earth
