Introductory English as a Second Language

Program Goal: Immigrant adults are less able to speak English than their children. Among many other reasons, newly arrived immigrants work longer shifts that limit their time to attend morning or afternoon or weekday classes. Based on two focus groups, new immigrant adults were willing to attend a two-hour course on Fridays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Learning Objective: To provide a course that allows immigrant adults to learn English as their second language

Program Components: Teaching

Program Participants: General Public/Community/Family

When: May-July (Annually), Fridays 7pm-9pm
