School IPM Coalition

Program Goal: Based on current Connecticut state law, K‑8 school grounds managers cannot use pesticides to care for athletic fields and landscape planting on school properties. The program focuses on improved cultural practices and use of available minimum risk products that can be considered in school grounds maintenance programs.

Learning Objective: To teach maintenance programs the importance of pesticide safety, and to lower the risk of unsafe pesticide use at schools.

Program Components: Demonstration; Presentation; Teaching; Training Session; Workshop

Program Participants: Businesses; General Public/Community/Family; Government Agencies; Schools and Colleges
