Natural Resources Conservation Academy

Program Goal: The program focuses on natural resources and the environment and ties geospatial technologies into every aspect of the field experience. After the field week, students are encouraged to work with community partners to complete a hands-on project throughout the school-year, culminating in a presentation at the annual Connecticut Conference on Natural Resources. UConn Extension’s Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR) faculty have been heavily involved in the development and implementation of NRCA. 

Learning Objective: To promote hands-on working opportunities for people through the environment and tying what they have learned into new technologies in the field.
