Expanding Local Food Manufacturing
Connecticut’s food manufacturing sector contributes $8.3 billion to the state’s economy. Keeping agriculture commodities in-state and facilitating the efforts of food entrepreneurs provides significant support to this growing industry.


Collaborative Partners
UConn’s College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) combines our food science and innovation expertise with the resources of the School of Business, state agencies like the Departments of Agriculture and Economic & Community Development, and private industry to catalyze food business development.
