Sarah Schechter
Asst. Extension Educator-Sustainable & Resilient Communities
Sarah Schechter is an assistant extension educator-sustainable & resilient communities with Connecticut Sea Grant and UConn Extension programs. She uses her background and experience with coastal resilience on the Connecticut and Rhode Island coasts to carry out the Sustainable & Resilient Communities goals of the Long Island Sound Study. She holds a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from the University of Rhode Island, specializing in Environmental Policy and Management, as well as certificates in Science Writing and Rhetoric, and GIS and Remote Sensing. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. She is based out of UConn’s Avery Point Campus in Groton.
