Nutrition Education – EFNEP Associate Extension Educator
Sharon Gray has been an Educator in the Department of Extension at the University of Connecticut since 1993. She supervises the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) for Hartford County. She conducts food and nutrition workshops for community agencies and answers food and nutrition questions from the public. She oversees a wide variety of grants with a focus on urban underserved families and youth. She participates on multiple community- based and College teams relating to public health, physical fitness and food insecurity. She is a registered dietitian and provides clinical counseling for patients with metabolic disorders as part of an interdisciplinary care team at CT. Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She earned her Bachelor of Science In Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University and Masters in Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.
